Confessions of a Supersensualist
Sharon Reeves solo exhibition
The real, the raw and the power of sexual and emotional expression. A persistent investigation into the perceived role of women; their feelings concerning power and disempowerment.
Drawing on personal experience, inspired by a sense of the strength of women, working with printmaking, painting, video, installation and performance.
Printmaking and its processes serve to situate this engagement with emotional themes. Intense and brutal in nature, etching and drypoint resonate with the hyper-sensuality sought. - Sharon Reeves lives and works in London. She graduated with an MA Visual Arts Printmaking from Camberwell College of Art in 2015.
Confessions of a Supersenualist was shown alongside InCase.5 SMASHING TIME curated by Sophie Cero with work by Julia Maddison
